Emma's Big Adventure

On March 27 we left our home in Alabaster with our 1963 Shasta Travel Trailer and headed south. We stopped in Biloxi,MS and Lake Charles,LA and spent a week in Round Top, TX for the spring antique fair. Coming home we stayed in Minden, LA and Cotile Lake, LA (near Alexandria). It was quite a trip, over 2250 miles all total. We got back late on April 7. Emma was the perfect traveler and met lots of new friends. Her only problem was a bout with an upset stomach on the first day we headed home. After several trips to the side of the roadway we finally got it under control.

Great photo show Bob and Emma. She did make many dog and human friends along the way as everyone wanted to stop and love on her saying they left their dog at home and missed them or they and their dogs stopped and played with her a bit. SHE wore herself out every day playing and walking forever it seemed. We kidded that she left her DNA all over TX,LA,and MS with all the loving she got. She played with all the dogs she
met, was friendly to all and just smiled with Golden Smile till she wore out. Many naps were needed and enjoyed. Then ready to go again. Emma, just wait till next time. We had fun! Smiles Mom/Cyndi

Great photos of the fur babies; just love 'em!
How was travel in your Shasta? I'm looking for a vintage camper and really enjoy reading about the adventures of other vintage campers.
